Nelson’s Tower, Forres: Climb for the View
Standing proudly above Forres on Cluny Hill, Nelson’s Tower offers one of the best viewpoints in Moray. Built in the early 1800s to honour Admiral Nelson, this striking monument rewards those who make the climb with sweeping views across the Moray Firth and surrounding countryside. It’s 97 steps to the top, but every one of them is worth it, especially on a clear day when you can see for miles. Simple, historic, and completely free to visit, it’s a brilliant stop if you’re exploring the area.
