Our first Podcast – Canadian Travels with Always Another Adventure

Our Director Cory Jones spent the summer in the remote Canadian wilderness canoeing nearly 1000 miles. He observed the the effects of climate change, and did some amazing watching wildlife in one of the last true wilderness areas on the planet. Wolves, bears and moose were all encountered on these Canadian travels, alongside unexpected interactions with First Nations popele who gave the canoe team great support and encouragement.

The SHOW NOTES prepared by Simon Willis host of Always Another Adventure podcast described the journey in the following way; ” In the summer of 2022, Cory Jones led a group of six paddlers through the Yukon territory in Canada.  Their group of six covered 1000 miles, through two time zones and six river systems.  However, the adventure wasn’t exactly harmonious eventually splitting into two groups.  Age was the dividing line. This generational divide was echoed among communities of First Nation people they met along the rivers.  As well as describing a tough adventure, Cory speaks frankly about all these differences and the impact climate change has already brought to their environment and way of life.”
