Highland Experiences Carbon Footprint
Highland Experiences have been working with ‘The Carbon Footprint Standard‘ to workout the carbon usage each year.
Highland Experiences Carbon Footprint for 2022 was judged to be 10.6 tonnes CO2e.
The carbon footprint standard is an internationally recognised standard for demonstrating low carbon credentials. It entails –
- Unified and independent method to manage carbon and energy
- Recognises all stages of carbon management – from assessment, to carbon reductions and carbon neutrality
- Applicable to organisations, businesses, products, projects, services and events
- Aligned with international best practice / standards
Highland Expereinces has signed up to the Glasgow COP 26 Accord – Tourism Declares a Climate Emergency and has produced an action plan to reduce its operational enviromental impact.
2022 was the first year Highland Expereinces Carbon Footprint was analysed and assessed. It is hoped this will become an annual, ongoing process. Only by monitoring our carbon production can we look at reducing our carbon impact on the planet. By 2025 we plan to reduce our carbon usage and be a Carbon Neutral business.
