Nominated for Scottish Thistle Awards 2021
Gairloch Canoe and Kayak Centre have been nominated for Scottish Thistle Awards in the category Best Outdoor Adventure Experience 2019/2020. After winning the Highlands and Islands Tourism Awards Gairloch Kayak Centre has now bene nominated for the national Scottish Thistle Awards. Gairloch Kayak Centre is up against four other finalists in the national awards with the winner being announced on March 5th 2020.
For over 25 years the Scottish Thistle Awards have been honouring individuals, businesses, partnerships and events for their innovation, excellence and success in the Scottish hospitality and tourism sector. Organised by VisitScotland and supported by a panel of industry representatives, these prestigious awards are without doubt the ones our industry leaders want to have in their trophy cabinet!
Cory Jones, owner and manager of the kayak centre said “after only one year of operations we were so happy to be nominated for the Highlands and Islands Tourism Awards and we feel very blessed to have won that Award. Now to be nominated for the national finals in an incredibly competitive category we are over the moon. This just goes to show with a focus on amazing customer experiences and developing good local links between tourism providers, anything is possible”.
The Awards state “Scotland’s tourism industry, we believe, is the heart and soul of the country, employing over 200,000 passionate and committed individuals who between them help generate £11bn of income per annum”.
The national final on March 5th will be held at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre, Morrison Street, Edinburgh.
