Top 5 places to get a coffee on the Isle of Skye

coffee Isle of Skye1. Deli Gasta

This little cafe is located in Broadford on the southern end of the Isle of Skye. Based out of an old mill they do fresh made sandwiches and bagels with some hot options and some very nice home baking to accompany their range of coffees and hot drinks. Dogs welcome!

2. The Granary

Located in the village of Portree on the Isle of Skye The Granary is a small restaurant and coffee shop. With it being only a small coffee shop its menu and options are limited but great quality, which when coupled with views of the main square and its close proximity to the islands main tourist attractions make it one of our favorites!

3. Eilean Iarmain

Tucked away on the idyllic southern peninsula of Sleat this hotel offers stunning views of the surrounding area and the historic Isleornsay lighthouse. On top of the views they have fantastic food and coffee as well as gin and whisky tasting, a gallery, shops and of course the opportunity to come kayaking with us!

4. Birch Cafe

The Birch cafe in Portree is a relatively new cafe focused on specially sourced coffee and roasting in small batches to ensure good flavor and high standards. They have few options but every option offers a unique taste, and the gorgeous locally crafted wood of the interior is definitely worth visiting for!

5. The Coffee Bothy

This is a very new and exciting coffee shop! They open four days a week using Monday and Tuesday as baking days for all their in house baking (they have some truly delicious homemade cakes to offer!). Based in Broadford this is the perfect place for a pit stop before exploring the rest of the island. We cannot recommend the cakes here enough! Dogs are very welcome here.
