Ben Nevis is the highest mountain in Britain (10 miles /16km). With a summit altitude of 1,345 metres the average time to the top is 3.5/4 hours with a round trip time of 7-9 hours for most groups. It is known as the tourist path but this is a misnomer – it is a tough and strenuous walk.

At the summit, on a clear day, there are incredible views which can stretch as far as Northern Ireland. A feature of the summit is the Old Observatory, which was opened in 1883 which provided hourly meteorological data for almost 20 years.

Trip run on Fridays and Saturdays most weeks from May to September.
